Recently, VREMT’s first 800kW ultra-fast liquid-cooled charging station V3 was officially launched at the Jidian factory in Hangzhou. As the world’s first single-gun peak 800kW super-fast charging product, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 has taken supercharging efficiency and user experience to new heights, achieving the world’s highest charging efficiency and making high-power “minute-level” liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging possible.
Guo Shuibao, General Manager of the VREMT Electronics Division and Head of Hangzhou Jidi, Wang Cheng, Product Manager of Hangzhou Jidi Charging Pile, Yang Zhijun, Head of Hangzhou Jidi Manufacturing Team, and representatives from relevant departments and engineers from various specialties attended and witnessed the product launch ceremony.
Guo Shuibao stated on site that “slow charging” is one of the core pain points in the development of the new energy vehicle industry. The innovation of high-quality charging infrastructure represented by the full liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging technology will further accelerate the comprehensive electrification of the automotive industry. The mass production of Ultra-Fast Charger V3 will effectively solve the problem of range anxiety for electric vehicles and help accelerate the rapid development of China’s new energy vehicle market.
The newly launched Ultra-Fast Charger V3 has been upgraded in terms of charging efficiency, safety, and user experience. In terms of charging efficiency, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 adopts a modular multi-gun structure, with a maximum output voltage of 1000V and a maximum output current of 800A. The peak power of a single gun is 800kW, making it the highest single-gun output power liquid-cooled charging station in the world. Users can replenish energy in as fast as 10 minutes, comparable to the speed of refueling a gasoline vehicle.
In terms of safety, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 introduces vehicle manufacturing thermal management technology, vehicle-level safety technology, and vehicle-level components to ensure the heat dissipation efficiency and overall functional safety of the charging pile.
In terms of charging experience, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 adopts a liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging gun line, which weighs only half of a regular charging gun cable, making it convenient for users with less strength to operate with one hand. In addition, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 also adds a ground lock and intelligent recognition function, which can be bound to the vehicle system to finish “plugging in, unplugging, settling the payment, locking and unlocking instantly”, effectively avoiding problems such as occupying parking spaces by fuel vehicles and complicated settlement processes, and achieving “phone-free” operation, greatly improving the user experience.
With the increase in charging power, the grid load capacity is also facing higher requirements. The Ultra-Fast Charger V3 adopts a hierarchical power architecture and uses distributed energy management control technology to achieve power scheduling and flexible allocation for the entire station, providing the maximum charging power for each parking space. At the same time, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 can also build a smart micro charging “local area network” to meet the high-power charging needs of each vehicle at the station. In the future, the Ultra-Fast Charger V3 will also support V2G functionality, connecting microgrids with users, further alleviating grid load pressure and allowing users to participate in electricity market transactions and scheduling.
With the continuous increase in the number of new energy vehicles in China, the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure has become an important bridge between transportation and energy integration. Currently, VREMT has launched the third-generation HPC high-speed liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging platform and put it into use. From the initial Ultra-Fast Charger V1, the industry’s first liquid-cooled 360kW charging station, to the release of the world’s first mass-produced 600kW liquid-cooled charging station V2, and now the globally leading Ultra-Fast Charger V3, VREMT has always adhered to innovation and self-research.
As of March 31st, the VREMT HPC high-speed liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging platform has been applied to the ZEEKR ultra-charging stations, with a total of 456 stations and 2483 charging piles (excluding internal stations), helping ZEEKR become the car manufacturer with the largest number of self-built 800V ultra-fast charging piles.
In the future, VREMT will continue to deepen its core technology in the charging field, provide users with a better charging experience, actively promote the development of the domestic new energy industry chain, and build a high-quality charging ecosystem with more industry partners, bringing users more convenient and efficient charging services.
